I started Elbilstatistikk (Norwegian for EV stats) back in 2016 when I was waiting for my new EV.

I wanted to see if other people had received their EV and started querying the API at hotell.difi.no for data on electric cars.

The numbers I display is all time numbers for all eletric cars registered in Norway and inlcudes wrecked and exported cars (5564) as well as cars that have temporary removed their license plates (15657).

The official numbers from OFV (government organization) is not always the same as my numbers. That is because I include imported cars (cars not imported by the main distributor) and electric busses etc.

Numbers are updated approximately every 15 minutes and total stats (bar chart etc.) every hour.

There is a cleanup procedure every 24 hours that recalculates all charts, tables and historic data.
